Tues Sept 1. Ended at 1959.6 for 19.7 miles today.
The views were more open. There were some more lava fields, but that part of the trail is behind me.
Met several day hikers. The thru hikers are still coming north, but they are thinning out since this is late in the season for them to be able to get to Canada before weather turns...conventional wisdom says you should finish before the first week of Oct.
Heard that the Crater Lake fire closures have been lifted, so if true that is excellent news for me.
Couldn't get a good hiking stride going today. Other than great views and heavy legs it was just a normal, teriffic day.
Mmmmmmm.
