Monday, August 31. Ending mile 1979.9 for 18.5 miles today after a 9:30 start.
Sisters was a very nice, quaint town and I liked it a lot. After spending the weekend in Sisters, I'm off again on the trail. As I look ahead, it might be a long time before another motel stay.
Heard from others that last night was bad...windy, rainy, and cold. Glad I was inside! Today was perfect. Gentle breeze and cool.
The first half of the day was pleasant trail, the second half was not. I had the famous "lava fields" to walk through. Hope I am done with them.
Tonight should be dry, the rest of the week has a chance of showers.
