Had a 1.5 mile road walk from "my lodge" along rt 40 to the PCT. Hiked over Donner Pass, then walked under rt 80 in a culvert. Lots of day hikers and weekend hikers on the trail.
Called ahead to a motel in Sierra City so I have a room for Tues, Wed.
Most of the terrain is between 7, 000' and 9, 000'. With lots of ups and downs. Finished at mile 1170.5, ended up with 15.0 miles today. 27 miles until Sierra City where I will resupply and take a zero day.
Tonight's camp is on an overlook, great view. I am exhausted, couldn't go another mile. Cooked a Mountain House for dinner. In bed by 7:30.
